Today is day 2 of no carbonation entering my body. I am not necessarily cutting carbonation out of my diet 100%, but I am and want to cut it back to how I used to be years upon years ago. A casual soda drinker, if even that.
I never was really a soda drinker. I have always been a water man. Through the last couple of years I have gradually over time became a diet Mountain Dew guy. Before that I was a diet Coke guy. There was nothing I loved more than to have a diet Coke and a cigarette, but of course my smoking days are long gone. I really don't know how my soda addiction even really started. It probably had to do with the fact that they were always around the house, in the fridge or something and it was a quick grab and a quick stimulant. Over a period of time I believe our taste buds just adapt to its surroundings, and mine got hooked on soda. I don't know how many years it has been now drinking these but over the last few months at least I was only at about 2 cans a day.
What really pushed me to quit completely drinking these or to at least give it a try to quit is the stomach problems I have been having. I have suffered years with poor digestion, bloating, and whatever else you can think of about someone with stomach problems. I realized that I couldn't live forever like this (with the stomach problems) and figured that maybe I need to change some things about my diet. Soda drinking was the most logical first step, because, you and I both know that this shit couldn't be good for the stomach.
Like I said this is only day 2. So far not to bad. I do feel a little run down and tired feeling but other than that I am ok. We will see how day 3 is.
